Aesthetic Essentials of Augusta was founded over twelve years ago with Amy’s vision for holistic wellness combined with natural aesthetic results. Amy’s commitment to becoming one of the first and leading concierge boutique medspas was to create a one of a kind experience for AE’s patients. AE has become a “wellness home” for patients from all over the U.S. boosting one of the highest retention rates in the country. AE prides themselves on being a leader in the aesthetic community and on the forefront of the newest and most innovative treatments.
Amy Faircloth,

Amy’s passion for helping others started over twenty-eight years ago as a nurse in med surg, ENT, ER, perioperative and oral/facial nursing. Amy then pursued aesthetic nursing and realized shortly after that her drive to bring much more to this area would push her to create a beauty and wellness lounge. She has created not one but two practices; Aesthetic Essentials of Augusta and Atlanta. Amy has been a National Certified Allergan Medical Institute Consultant and trainer for over 9 years. She also is a faculty member and trainer for Dentaspa as well as a National Trainer for AIAM. Amy is a faculty member and speaker for many national conferences such as LA-MCA, IAFA, and Accelerate to name a few. Amy has most recently been named a Foundational Faculty Member and Trainer for the National Allergan Training Institute in Atlanta. She also serves on multiple advisory boards. Some of her accomplishments include:

Amy has two children Austin 25, a UGA Territory Business Graduate and William 23, Senior who currently attends UGA as a Senior.
Amy is an animal advocate and a lover-you can always find Luna & Kilo (her dogs) close by her. When Amy is not training or teaching other groups of injectors, in her free time she enjoys yoga, music concerts, and any activity near water.
Samuel Mietling, MD
Dr. Mietling earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his residency and fellowship in Radiology and Interventional Radiology at the University of Florida. He practiced in Pensacola for ten years before relocating to Augusta in 2002. After retiring from private practice in 2020, he now works part-time at various surgery centers throughout the Southeast.
He has been married for ten years and enjoys a blended family of two children, two stepchildren, and twelve grandchildren. Outside his professional work, he enjoys traveling, mountain biking, and scuba diving. He and his wife have also participated in medical mission work in Belize.
For the past four years, Dr. Mietling has proudly served as the Medical Director for Aesthetics Essentials, working alongside an exceptional team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care.
TAMMY GASKILL
Practice Manager
Tammy is an Augusta native and comes to AE with 25 years of medical office experience. Tammy has been married for over 30 years to her husband and they have 2 adult daughters as well as 2 beautiful grandchildren. Tammy is the magic behind the scenes helping to make AE what it is! She is the person putting everything in place to make AE run so smoothly and efficiently. Her spare time is usually spent at the lake or in the North Ga. mountains. Some of Tammy’s favorite things at AE are Revision skincare, dermaplaning and Sylfirm microneedling treatments!
Carson Perry
FNP-C
Carson graduated from Augusta University in 2018 with her Masters in Nursing and worked in the ER for over 4 years. During her time as an ER nurse, Carson returned to school to double master in Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated in May of 2022 from Georgia College and State University with her FNP degree. Carson has always had a passion for aesthetics as she previously worked for an oculoplastic surgeon in Atlanta (Marietta, Ga) before moving to Augusta for nursing school. She was thrilled to join the AE team over a year ago to pursue her dream as an aesthetic injector! Carson loves to plump your lips, educate you on all things aesthetic as well as create a beautifully proportioned aesthetic outcome! Some of Carson’s favorite things at AE are lip filler, IV therapy and weight loss journeys.
Carson is married to husband, Allen, who keeps her laughing and they have a beautiful daughter that brings them joy and new adventures every day.
Sarah Houghtling
Patient Coordinator
Sarah has been with AE for over 7 years now and she is the smiling face that greets you at the front desk. Sarah is ready to assist you with scheduling, purchasing products or answering any questions about procedures performed here at AE. Her passion is her family which includes her children, Emilie, Ellie and Ethan. Sarah’s greatest gifts are her grandchildren Fisher, Oliver and Evie Kate. Sarah also enjoys keeping up with the hottest trends in aesthetics as well as the newest movies and T.V. series! Sarah loves assisting staff with facilitating patient treatments as well as following up with the patient’s experience here at AE. Some of her favorite AE procedures are lip enhancements, PRF to tear troughs and thread lifting!
Karlie Davis
Assistant/Patient Services Representative
Karlie, originally from Milledgeville, GA is a new resident of Augusta. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2020 and has always had a passion for building an individual’s confidence. This passion has lead her to love learning and working in the aesthetics field. Karlie has been a part of the AE team for almost 3 years now! Karlie loves being at the beach and hanging out with friends and family. Karlie loves assisting in the rooms at AE with procedures, educating patients on the safest and most effective treatments as well as helping with our weight management program. Karlie’s favorite AE procedures are lip filler, Botox and the CO2 lift mask!
Lindsey Bricker

Meet Lindsey, a licensed Esthetician and skincare professional with over five years of experience in the aesthetic industry. Committed to empowering her clients, Lindsey equips them with the knowledge and tools necessary for maintaining vibrant, healthy skin for life. Her keen eye for detail ensures that she fully understands each individual’s unique needs before recommending a personalized treatment plan. Lindsey specializes in a variety of advanced skincare treatments, including RF Microneedling, PRX, Bio RePeel, VI Chemical Peels, DMK Enzyme therapy, dermaplaning, high frequency and CO2 masks. In her free time, Lindsey enjoys spending quality time with her 9-year-old son, Aiden, and her two cats, Kiwi and Banana. Some of Lindsey’s favorite things are skin care, educating patients on treatments and anything new and exciting to the esthetic space!
Carla George
Assistant
Carla’s passion for aesthetics has led her to work part-time at Aesthetic Essentials for 10 years now. She studied at Southwest Virginia Community college and has over 25 years of professional experience. Carla and her husband have two adult children, Kaylyn & Jamie, as well as two grandchildren, Gracelyn & Julie. They have lived in Aiken for 30+ years and enjoy spending time with their family and friends as well as trips to Aruba where Carla is a determined advocate for all homeless animals and engages in every aspect of animal rescue. Carla adds lots of laughter and love to the AE family! Carla’s daily part of AE is helping you achieve your aesthetic goals by educating you with the newest skin care products and treatments. Some of her favorite AE treatments are cheek contour, lip plump and the newest chemical peels AE offers.
Caroline Thornton
Assistant/Patient Services Representative
Caroline came to Aesthetic Essentials almost 5 years ago with 6 years of experience in customer service and management. She loves helping assist Amy and Carson with procedures, especially when AE brings in new things such as EZ gel PRP and SkinVive. When Caroline is not at the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, Chaston, their 2 year old baby girl Cameron and their rescue dogs either at home or at the beach! Some of Carolines favorite things at AE are botox, lip plump and Skin Better Science products!
